FREE Intro to Fencing Class & Fencing Demonstrations in Natick

Zeta Fencing will start the new season with public outreach to propagate the Olympic Sport of Fencing.

On Saturday August 30, 2014 Zeta Fencing will present two Fencing Demonstrations at the public stage of Natick Farmers’ Market. The first demonstration will be held 11-11:30AM, the second demonstration 12:30-1PM. Between demonstrations, Zeta Fencing will be represented at the market and available for all questions related to fencing and our club in Natick. Everybody is invited to join us. Please let us know if you would like to help out–you could be part of a fencing demonstration, hand out flyers, explain fencing to interested market goers, or simply cheer for our fencers and have a good time. The photo below was taken at last year’s Farmers’ Market. We had a great time, but this year we’ll be on the big stage!

One week later, on Saturday September 6, 2014 we will hold a FREE Intro to Fencing Class at our club. From 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Olympic Coach Zoran Tulum will present an overview of the history of fencing and fencing weapons, he will explain basic concepts of the modern sport of fencing, and finally he will teach the foundations of footwork and blade positions to aspiring fencers. Everybody is welcome, please spread the word! You can download a flyer with information about our FREE class here. We have flyers at the club if you would like to pick up a few copies. No registration required, simply show up with clean sneakers and a comfortable athletic outfit.

If any of your friends or family members ever asked you about fencing, invite them to our Fencing Demonstrations or the Intro to Fencing Class!
